Draped Flowers Curtain

Washi paper spun into yarn / Knitted textile
$3,800.00
Description

The Draped Flowers Curtain is an ever-changing, living vertical space divider. It contains over 100 pockets where fresh flowers can be placed in tiny tubes, transforming a space with a rotating seasonal landscape.

As nature’s own room divider, flowers can be placed in the ever changing floral tableau creating color and scent stories throughout the year.

The limited run of 30 curtains are knit from a durable thread spun from Japanese washi - a paper made from the veins in the leaves of the Manila jute plant. Each curtain is carefully knitted by hand and machine in a small workshop in Japan to ensure the utmost quality and strength.  The paper thread used is free of chemicals, producing a textile that is strong and washable, while being entirely organic.

The finished curtain blurs the line between still and living objects.
